Dr. Daniel HEILMANN
Moritz KLEINE-BROCKHOFF spoke for Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. He has worked as a journalist, a.o. for Deutsche Welle and Frankfurter Rundschau, before he joined the foundation in 2009. He is focused since then on the development in South East Asia, as a Project Director for Indonesia and other countries, and as Head of the Asia Department in the Headquarters in Germany.
Dr. Gregor RYSSEL represented Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. He is working in the Department for Asia in the Foundations Headquarter in Berlin
Manfred HORNUNG has been the head of the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Southeast Asia office in Bangkok since September 2013. Prior to his present position, he was responsible for the foundation’s office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for around two years. Manfred Hornung has been working in the region for several years, and his activities have included the training of judges and public prosecutors in Laos at the People’s Supreme Court in Vientiane as part of a United Nations project. In Cambodia, he worked for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Cambodian non-governmental organization LICADHO. Regional labor migration, human trafficking, land rights issues and judicial reform have been other focal points of his work.
